Weekly Warez is a term used by software "pirates" to describe software that has been stripped of its copy-protection and made available on the Internet for downloading. The name Warez is pronounced as though spelled "wares". Obviously, the downloading of such software is illegal. Think of it as making a copy of a software program for your friend. But then multiply that friend by millions. Warez members take great pride in their ability to defeat the copy protection of software manufacturers. Additionally, Warez sites offer real and/or dummy serial numbers that "unlock" shareware software. People who create warez sites sometimes call them "warez sitez" and use "z" in other pluralizations.

A reader asks...
Q. "Well, I finished reading your new WEEKLY issue. As usual, I like it and I'm a little bit smarter. Only problem is... what am I gonna read tomorrow? I got spoiled with a new issue every weekday. But I understand. It must be a lotta work for you. I'll learn to savor each weekly issue. I bookmarked (favorite placed) your website and I'll visit several times each week and explore the great things you have there. Keep up the good work."
A. I appreciate your kind words. Yes, it was alot of work updating the site each weekday.
I now have time (at 1 o'clock in the morning) to explore other computer related areas that I'll be sharing with you. One example is VIDEO EDITING of regular video tape with the computer. I created a beautiful 24 minute computer video of the christening of a friend's new baby. Now I'm hooked on using the computer for video editing. P.S. - The weekly pic is a still shot that I captured from that video.
I've also had more time to explore SOUND EDITING with the computer. I'm converting midi files to audio cd for playback on regular audio CD Players. And I'm experimenting with WAV creation and editing... adding echos, cropping, enhancing, etc. I bought a great program called COOL EDIT 2000 and I'm having a blast chopping up music just like you'd chop up (edit) a word processing document.
Feel free to drop me an email if you want some tips on any of these new computer related activities.
So, until next week, this is your computer guy, changing the world one computer user at a time... once a week.
Best regards,
Adam
