I Love You
Virus

The "I Love You" virus is one of the most destructive computer virus to date in terms of monetary loss.

It is estimated that over 45 million people in 20 countries have had their computers infected with the I LOVE YOU Virus.

The Virus has been captioned the LOVE VIRUS because it is sent to unsuspecting individuals as regular email with the caption "I LOVE YOU".

It is estimated that the worldwide damage of down time and repair costs has been over 10 billion (with a "B") dollars.

READER FEEDBACK...

Q.   "Where do you get all of your graphics?

bia2sharpjpgval9.jpg (60386 bytes)

A.    Some of them I create myself but most of them I "steal".  And you can "steal" them from me by just "right clicking" on the graphic and choosing "save graphic as".

I must admit that I spend a considerable amount of time searching the WEB for the graphics that are "just right" for what I'm trying to create.

How'd I do with my Valentine graphics?

Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Until next week, this is  your computer guy, changing the world one computer user at a time.

WEEKLY IN DEPTH...

Saint Valentine

In Rome in A.D. 270, a cleric named Valentine had enraged the mad emperor Claudius II, who had issued an edict forbidding marriage.

Claudius felt that married men made poor soldiers, because they would not want to leave their families for battle. The empire needed soldiers, so Claudius abolished marriage.

Valentine, bishop of Interamna, invited young couples to come to him in secret, where he joined them in the sacrament of matrimony.

Claudius learned of this 'friend of lovers,' and had the bishop brought to the palace. The emperor, impressed with the young priest's dignity and conviction, attempted to convert him to the roman gods, to save him from certain execution.

Valentine refused to renounce Christianity and boldly attempted to convert the emperor. On February 24, 270, Valentine was executed.
